Introducing Musementoring – A Guide to a New Kind of Peer Group Mentoring

Prefer Finnish? Lue uutinen suomeksi.

As part of the MUUSA project, a new kind of peer group mentoring, musementoring, has been developed and piloted in Turku and Tampere. The positive experiences gained through ”museing”, as well as their number and scope, have deeply moved us. Inspired by this, we have created a guide in Finnish that we hope will encourage others to organise musementoring as well. Please note that the guide is currently available in Finnish only.

The Musementoring Guide will be launched on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, which we will celebrate with a hybrid event. Join us to learn more about organising musementoring and to ask questions, either on site at Turku School of Economics or remotely via Zoom.

A warm welcome to everyone interested in muse‑inspired community and mentoring!

Please note! Are you interested in the Musementoring Guide and the experiences shared at the event, but unable to attend on 12 May?

Heli Kurjanen ja Mira Mäkelä
Mira Mäkelä (on the left) and Heli Kurjanen

Heli Kurjanen is a serial entrepreneur and co‑founder of the Augusta Nordic brand. She is best known as the developer of the Lunette menstrual cup, which she grew into an international success story. Today, Heli works as an entrepreneur, consultant, business mentor, and board professional, supporting companies in growing sustainably and boldly. Augusta Nordic was born from her own need to bring an honest, research‑based voice into the discussion on menopause and intimate wellbeing. Heli is an active member of the Finnish Entrepreneurs community and also served as a musementor supporting others in finding their own path and growing on their own terms.

Mira Mäkelä is the other co‑founder of the Augusta Nordic brand and has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development. She has built a broad career with the Lunette brand, particularly in domestic retail and brand building. Mira is known as a practical‑minded business builder and sales expert who knows how to turn strategy into concrete results. At Augusta Nordic, she is responsible for day‑to‑day operations. She is active in the entrepreneurial field and works as a consultant supporting companies in growth and sales development. She also served as a musementor, and is especially motivated by helping others find their own direction, strengthen their competence, and build a sustainable and meaningful working life together with others.

Päivi 'Pink' Inki
Päivi ’Pink’ Inki

Päivi ’Pink’ Inki ”I am a coach who helps build more functional everyday life for both organisations and individuals. My work focuses on themes of collaboration, leadership, and performing under pressure – both above and below the surface. I help teams clarify their direction, calm down their ways of working, and find effective ways to influence what truly matters. My approach combines practicality, courageous exploration, genuine encounters, and bad humour. I believe that change often arises from small, but meaningful insights.”

Susanna Hietikko is the Indiana Jones of her own life, carving her way through jungles to wherever she wants to go. A resilient “dandelion child” who, despite life’s challenges, has retained an open heart and mind. She manages to keep three teenage boys alive – but not houseplants. She loves books and hates cooking. Her dream is to write her own book and live in a van. Her guiding values are authenticity and honesty. A backpack full of experiences and a heart full of love. Towards infinity… and beyond!
