Tunteet pinnassa Turussa muusamentorointiin osallistuneiden yhteistapaamisessa
MUUSA‑hanke järjesti 12.1.2026 yhteismuusailutapahtuman Turun kauppakorkeakoululla. Tapahtuma kokosi yhteen Turussa muusamentorointiin osallistuneita muusamentoroitavia sekä muusamentoreita jakamaan ajatuksia lämpimässä ja avoimen vastaanottavassa ilmapiirissä.
Emotions Close to the Surface at the Co‑musing Gathering for Musementoring Participants in Turku
On 12 January 2026, the MUUSA project organised a Co‑musing Event at Turku School of Economics. The event brought together participants who had previously taken part in musementoring in Turku, including mentees and musementors, to share thoughts in a warm, open and welcoming atmosphere.
”Sitten kun heräsin…” – Yhteismuusailun dagen efter
MUUSA-hankkeen vetäjä, lehtori Antti Tuomisto kertoo tunnelmistaan: ”Tapaamisessa oli alusta saakka innostusta, mutta myös haikeutta. Muusamentoroinnin päättymistä on moni jo surrut.”
”Maanantain iltayhdeksään saakka venyneen yhteistapaamisen jälkeen heräsin tiistaina uuteen aamuun. Olo oli, että jotain jäi puuttumaan. Tapaamisessa oli innostusta ja inspiraatiota, naurua ja rohkeutta ja uskoa hyvään. Mutta… sitten radiosta alkoi kuulua aamukahvin yli uskomaton Whitney Houston ja’I Will Always Love You’…”
”Sitten tajusin. Ryhmähali jäi puuttumaan! Se yhdessä olemisen turvallinen hetki, kun voi tukeutua toisiin ja kiittää ja olla läsnä. Ryhmähaleja oli useammankin muusaryhmän viimeisessä tapaamisessa ennen joulua. Nyt en tajunnut pyytää ryhmähalaukseen. Anteeksi. Korjaan asian 6.2. ylimaakunnallisessa yhteistapaamisessa, jonne kutsumme Turussa muusailleiden lisäksi myös Tampereella muusailleet.”
“And Then I Woke Up…” – The Day After the Co‑musing Event
Antti Tuomisto, lecturer and MUUSA project lead, reflects on the atmosphere of the gathering: “From the very beginning, the meeting carried a sense of enthusiasm, but also a feeling of wistfulness. Many have already begun to grieve the ending of the musementoring process.”
“After the gathering that stretched until 9 PM on Monday evening, I woke up on Tuesday to a new morning. It felt as though something was missing. There had been enthusiasm and inspiration, laughter, courage, and trust in the good at the gathering. But then, over my morning coffee, the incredible Whitney Houston started playing on the radio, ‘I Will Always Love You’…”
“And then I realised it. We had missed the group hug! That safe moment of being together, when you can lean on others, say thank you, and simply be present. Group hugs had been part of more than one musementoring group’s final meeting before Christmas. But this time, I did not realise to invite everyone into a group hug. I’m sorry. I will make it right on the 6th of February at the joint gathering with the Tampere museing participants.”

Four Participants, Four Remarkable Stories

They, along with many others, have gained far more from museing than we as organisers ever dared to hope for. Our thanks go to the participants and the musementors. Thank you for believing in this work and for recognising its potential. This is going to be something truly special.
Muusamentorit – ihmisiltä ihmisille
Muusamaiset mentorimme osallistuivat yhteistapaamiseen. Mentorointiin osallistujillahan on kaksi syytä osallistua:
- Osallistuja itse – hän näki muusamentoroinnissa itsensä ja yhdessä tekemisen
- Muusamentori – osallistujan valitsema inspiraation lähde.
1+1 = 100% muusamaista tekemistä! Siinä se, muusamentoroinnin vipuvarsi. Yksin ja yhdessä.
Musementors – People to People
Our muse‑like mentors took part in the gathering. For participants in musementoring, there are two motivations for joining:
- The participant themselves – They saw themselves in musementoring, both as individuals and in shared action.
- The musementor – A participant chosen source of inspiration for themself.
1 + 1 = 100% muse‑driven engagement.
That’s the leverage of musementoring. Alone and together.

Jatkoa seuraa – Tampereen ja Turun muusailijoiden ylimaakunnallinen yhteistapaaminen pidetään perjantaina 6. helmikuuta 2026.
Lisäksi Turussa järjestetään avoimet ovet ”muusailusta” kiinnostuneille Turun yliopiston Konttori-yrittäjyystilassa kerran kuussa.

What Next?
More to come – A Cross‑regional Co‑musing Event for musementoring participants from Tampere and Turku will take place on 6 February 2026.
In addition, open house sessions for those interested in ”museing” will be organised in Turku once a month at the Konttori entrepreneurship space of the University of Turku.
